Here is the story part that goes with this comic, written by ISingTheSongs (not me):

Panel 1: ‘It was a revolutionary time. Space travel and colonisation had seen the dissolution of borders and the creation of a united human race. Medical breakthroughs made long, ailment-free lives for all humanity a reality. And then Doctor Nicola Blancmange, a genius nutritional scientist and engineer, invented the Food Synthesiser, able to create an unlimited supply of food for everyone.’

(A picture of the early utopia with ordinary-size citizens praising an only moderately obese Nicola.)

Panel 2: ‘But it had an unforeseen side-effect. With a limitless supply of any conceivable food and medical progress rendering the dangers of obesity moot, mankind descended into a new age of hedonism. Appetites, and waistlines, expanded rapidly.’

(A stage progress model of the ‘average citizen’, starting at a modest 100+lbs, then up to 300+ in three years, then 500+lbs in six years.)

Panel 3: ‘This waddlesome new form of humanity would soon be contending with an as-yet unavoidable issue; mobility. And so I, Professor Saanvi Parvahti, began work on developing the ultimate mobility solution for this new age. Assisted by my technician, Mina Fernandez, whose addiction to snack cakes put her above the average weight for even the current populace.’

(Image of the two women standing side-by-side. Prof Parvahti is an Indian woman with long, pony-tailed black hair, wearing a lab coat tailored to her modest 400+lbs. Mina is a Latino woman with short, brunette hair, wearing a jump suit that her 700+lbs is looking close to bursting out of. Her belly almost touches the ground. She has a large cake in hand.)

Panel 4: ‘We tried scores of potential solutions, with little success…’

(Prof Parvahti takes notes as Mina tests out a monowheel placed under her gut (similar to the Judge Dredd Fattie Bellywheel) which has bent under her tonnage.)

Panel 5: ‘But some times, a series of failures can lead to the brainwave that signals your breakthrough.’

(Mina looks on aghast as an anti-gravity device; basically a disk-shaped object with a device beneath similar to the anti-gravity ball of the final hover chair design, lifts her belly up off the ground and into her field of vision. Doctor Parvahti looks on, an idea occurring to her.)

Panel 6: ‘By combining the anti-gravity underbelly-disc design with the familiar comfort of an armchair, I came up with what would become the first hover-chair! But I knew that it was far from a perfect design.’

(Prof Parvahti unveils the Hover Chair, or at least a prototype variant of it. Mina looks on in awe.)
